The regional conference dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry SeePharma was held on 18 October 2011. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade.
This year’s conference dealt with the greatest challenges faced by innovative and generic pharmaceutical companies.
During the last decade, competition between innovative and generic pharmaceutical companies is growing stronger. Generic drugs play an important role in building a sustainable and affordable health system. On the other hand, there is a continuing need to foster innovation and innovative companies in order to maintain the quality of treatment at the required level.
It was concluded that the entry of the positive list of medicines is one of the most important issues that pharmaceutical companies, and patients. Finding a balance between pharmacotherapy and pharmacoeconomics has become a key challenge for the industry.
At the conference were many reputable experts, such as Zoltan Kalo, director of the Research Centre for Health Economics, Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary, Tatjana Sipetić, director of the Medicines and Medical Devices of the Republic of Serbia, SinisaTomic, Director of the Medicines and Medical Devices products of Croatia, Tihomir Strizrep, director of the Croatian health Insurance Institute, Aleksandar Vuksanovic, director of the National Health insurance of Serbia, Ilco Zaharijev, Director of the Bureau for medicines in Macedonia, Pogorilic Sani, director CARPC (Croatian Association of innovative drug manufacturer), Šeherzada Hadžidedić Deputy Director of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others.
